Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific brain regions linked to mood and compulsive patterns. It doesn't involve surgery, anaesthesia, or downtime. We deliver it via BrainsWay, an FDA-cleared Deep TMS system.
Delivered via BrainsWay Deep TMS technology.
No surgery or anaesthesia. You stay fully awake throughout.
A typical BrainsWay Deep TMS session runs around 20 minutes.
Resume normal daily activity right after each session.
Deep TMS uses an electromagnetic coil, positioned against the scalp, to deliver magnetic pulses that stimulate neural activity in brain regions associated with mood and obsessive-compulsive patterns. Unlike standard TMS, the BrainsWay system's H-coil design is built to reach broader and deeper brain structures.
Sessions are administered as a structured course over several weeks, decided individually by your psychiatrist based on your evaluation, rather than a fixed, one-size-fits-all schedule.
Deep TMS is typically considered for the following, especially where earlier treatment (medication, therapy, or both) hasn't been enough on its own. It's not a first-line treatment for everyone: whether it's the right fit comes out of your psychiatric evaluation.
Deep TMS isn't suitable for everyone. For instance, it generally isn't recommended if you have certain metal implants or a history of seizures. Your psychiatrist reviews your full history before recommending it, and will walk you through what it does and doesn't involve before you begin.
Unlike medication, Deep TMS doesn't circulate through the bloodstream, so it carries no systemic side effects. The most common effect reported is mild scalp discomfort during a session.
