Dr. Pragnia Poloju

Dr. Pragnia Poloju is a gynaecologic oncologist and laparoscopic and robotic surgeon. She joins Synapse Mind Clinics as Consultant Gynaecologist, part of the clinic's move into women's mental health.
Dr. Pragnia has over 13 years of experience in medicine, focused on diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing gynaecological cancers, including ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulval, and vaginal cancers, as well as benign conditions like fibroids, adenomyosis, and menstrual and menopausal disorders. During her MCh programme she trained in robotic and laparoscopic oncology, and she holds a palliative care certification from Kumudini Pain and Palliative Care, Hyderabad. Earlier in her career she worked as an Assistant Professor at Owaisi Hospital and as a Medical Officer at Yashoda Hospitals, both in Hyderabad.
She has published and presented on gynaecologic oncology, including a paper, “Developing Locoregional Evidence: WHO vs. National Maternal Near Miss Criteria” (Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 2022), and talks at WCI-Tata Memorial, AGOICON, and KSCAGOICON on rare gynaecological tumours. She completed a masterclass and live surgical workshop at AIIMS, New Delhi, in 2023, and holds a certification from the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology.
